For curriculum developers

Recommendations relate to developing activities which introduce images and visualizations, designing inquiry-based use of images, and linking print curriculum with CD and web-based visualizations.

For technology developers

Recommendations relate to designing new visualization tools, including web-based tools, which build on insights in cognition, such as the importance of 3-dimensionality, the power of oblique views, animations to show change over time and conveying scale in meaningful ways.
